Special holidays

Hello, today I will go to talk about my favorite holidays. My favorite holiday is Christmas, in my house is a beautiful day, because with my family we´re together. We don’t usually do anything out of the ordinary, we eat dinner all together on December 24, at Christmas Eve and we wait until twelve o’clock to give us a big and strong hug as a family. With my grandmother and my little brother we put together the Christmas tree, because we love to do it. Also with my mother I usually go to buy the gifts for all.   She’s always able to buy my gift t without me noticing. We love see the happiness of my little brother when he opens his gifts. In this holiday I stay with my mother, my grandmother, my two brothers, my sister, my niece and my two dogs.   We meet in my grandmother’s house in a special hour to help her to organice the dinner. My favorite Photography

Hello, today I will to talk to you abaut my favorite picture. I don´t have idea who took this photography, but I took a similar picture two years ago, in a school trip, in my last year. This picture shows a train in an abandoned saltperter mine. This saltpeter mine is... or was, Humberstone, it is located inside Iquique city. I like this place and particularly this photo, because involved much history.  It make me think in the time. In the past. In people lived in this place. When I visited this place, I was amazed with everithing I observed. ¿Where were run these trains? ¿How many people did these trains take? This is a village with a lot of history, effort and sacrifice, but also of joy. In my perception, this picture involvs all these things, makes me think about what would been exactly the life in there, in those years. . I think a train like that was a transport in the past and now it’s a  way to remember the story of the place.

My favorite piece of technology

Hello, today I'm going to talk to you about my favorite technological object and why this is my favorite. My favorite piece of technology is my cellphone. I have my actual cellphone since last year, in my birthday. With it I can spend some free time, watching series on Netflix, using instagram or whatsapp. Considering also the fact that it keep me in touch with my relatives. Apart from this, it serves me a lot when it comes to studying and doing university work, because I can communicate with my classmates while I am searching information on internet. I use my cellphone many hours in the day, when I wake up, I listen to music for started good my day, usually used en my free time in university and when I get home to talk to my friends and too like help for to study. I like this because it fulfill with different functions. Being strange not to have it, but I think that is not something necessary in my life.

Why I choose this career

When I was a child, I thought beign a vet, because I really like, animals, but now that I think's not for me. Until three years ago I was thinking of studying psychology or law, but then theses two career stopped appeal to my atenttion. One year ago I foud the career of Anthropology and I thought that was what I wanted. The Anthropology is the study of the human, which involves their culture, society and cultural problems (among other things), thinks that I like. Now in university, in Santiago, my days pass very faster, unlike Iquique, where I had time for everything. Among so many things to study, I don’t do much more, which is usually stressful.  But I’m studying what I like. I don’t know where I want to work in the future, but I do know that I hope it’s a job where I can express myself and feel good.

My name is Catalina Lemus González, I was born in Iquique, august 3 of 1999. At elementary school, I studied at Colegio Profesor Manuel Castro Ramos and I completed my high school there. Now I am in my first year in Universidad de Chile.  My family live in Iquique and I am living with my best friend's grandfathers, in Santiago city.  In my house in Iquique live my mother, Milena, my grandmother, Luz María and my little brother, Sebastián and my father, Carlos, live in one apartment. In my free times I like sleep and watching series on Netflix, like Riverdale or Stranger Things. I want see 13 Reasons why, but I don't have time. Actually, I'm living in La Florida. I don't like this, because I miss my family.
